When did you start blogging?

Way back in the Livejournal days, probably 10 years ago!

What inspired you to start blogging?

Back then I was sharing my design work, and getting involved in communities.

Do you have any other ‘day jobs’?

I’m both a web designer/developer and run my own jewellery business.

What are your blogging must-have tools?

A good camera, my macbook & coffee.

Finest Imaginary Desk

What is your favourite place to blog from?

My office, first thing in the morning!

Tell us about your favourite experience through blogging?

Recently (for the past few years) I’ve been blogging about my experiences of working for myself. I get the occasional email from people saying that I’ve really helped them, or inspired them, to take the leap into freelancing and self-employment. That’s definitely my favourite experience!

What inspires you?

Anything and everything, it’s always such a hard thing to pin down! Nothing gets my inspiration flowing like a long dog walk, though.

What is your biggest challenge as a blogger?

Finding the time to blog. I’m not just a blogger, so lots of other tasks often get in the way. I sometimes find it really hard to put the time aside to blog. I always find it helps if I do it first thing in the morning, though, before getting absorbed with other work!

Share three of your favourite bloggers with us.

Yes and Yes, Decor8, and Bright Bazaar

What are your future plans in the blogosphere?

I just want to carry on producing quality content for my readers, finding new ways to make my blog work for my business, and enjoy sharing my work and personal life with the world.

Thanks for chatting to us today Kim!

You can find Kim on TwitterFacebook and Pinterest.
