WHY YOU SHOULD COME TO BLOGNIX 2014
Blognix is a place FOR bloggers BY bloggers. It was borne out of the desire to create an event that was INCLUSIVE, where no blogger should feel left out, unwelcome or unable to come along on the basis of their niche, skill level, experience, or personal circumstances. Blognix was created out of the need to hold a conference OUTSIDE OF LONDON, because not all bloggers live there and for the rest of the UK it can be pretty far to trek to (not to mention costly hotel fees, transport etc.). Blognix was founded because I believe that if you want something done then you should just GET ON AND DO IT. Blognix was established because bloggers don’t need another Blogging 101 or Beginners conference/workshop, they need a space where they can learn ACTIONABLE SKILLS that are going to take their blog to the next level. Blognix was formed as a conference, workshop and social gathering that is WARM, INSPIRING and WELCOMING.
The pilot event in 2013 was a great success, the feedback from attendees was consistently positive. And we are going to do the same, and more, this year.
LEARN, CONNECT, INSPIRE
Blognix 2014 will give delegates the chance to LEARN. We learn best from our peers. Delegates will be learning all the tools they need to make their blogs the best they can be. Sessions will include creative skills such as photography, podcasting, video and web design. There will be practical skills such as learning about finances, law, ethics and monetisation. And there will be sessions from inspirational folk about the future of blogging, entrepreneurship and diversifying your brand (check out the confirmed speakers).
Blognix prides itself on being approachable. We seek to create a warm and easy-going atmosphere where bloggers can CONNECT. We’ve all been to events on our own that are utterly nerve-wracking (hello sitting in the corner pretending to look at your phone). But Blognix is different, the day is designed to encourage participation, conversation and networking with our peers.
We have spent a lot of time with other bloggers over the past few years and it is one of the most fulfilling ways to spend your time. Blognix hopes to INSPIRE bloggers through interaction with others, along with learning from expert bloggers.
WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IT IS NOT
BLOGNIX IS one of the most affordable blogging conferences in the country. Nowhere else will you get the value Blognix offers to bloggers. We aim to make it as accessible as possible for bloggers to attend.
BLOGNIX IS for intermediate to advanced bloggers with in-depth discussions and tutorials to help fill your skills gaps.
BLOGNIX IS for celebrating the positive aspects of blogging. We are for the blogging community first and foremost.
BLOGNIX IS NOT a blogging 101 event, how to start a blog workshop or a beginners guide to starting a blog (although bloggers starting out are more than welcome!).
BLOGNIX IS NOT a brand event. We may have kind sponsors helping to support the event and keeping costs low to attendees, but they have no influence or direction on the event.
SO WHAT DOES THE REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDE?
The registration costs includes a FULL-day conference, FREE lunch and FREE tea/coffee station. It does not include transport or accommodation costs.
There will be an evening social event (details to follow soon) so if you live far it might be worth making a weekend of it. Birmingham is rad so it’s totally worth staying here.
